Rockstar Kwa-fyur photoshoot...

My life has been so crazy! We have felt for so long that we needed to have our own product line and we have finially just decided to do it. It is so much WORK!!!! I think if I had had any idea before I might not have ever started! Between trademark attorney's, chemists, finding bottles, design team, and everything else...AHHHHH! We just recieved our first samples from the chemists of shampoo and cond is coming soon...We had to do our first photo shoot yesterday. It was so much fun! These are pics I took, but look at my list of friends and Peekaboo Photo's and you can see of few that have been edited! It was a great experience. I was on my feet all day doing hair and trying to direct the shoot but we got some incredible pics. Thanks to all who helped! Allison, thank you for giving me the confidence to just do it! Everyone who helped with hair and our make artist Ashlee was amazing! Rich, Katie, and Dan are amazing photographers! Best of all were our beautiful models...the nicest, sweetest, girls. Beautiful on the inside and out.. Crazy right? Aren't models supposed to be diva's? These girls were far from that...

Jadyn and Pammy's Birthday...

Jadyn and my friend Pam both had their birthday this last week. I love them both so much. The best about Jadyn's birthday were her wrapped presents(the lovely bags)! She was a good sport and thought it was funny. She is growing up so fast especially when all she asks for her birthday is clothes! She asked me today if I had any clothes I didn't like anymore that she could have. She just knows she could make them fit! It seems like yesterday that I had her. She was so tiny at 6lbs 2ozs. She loves to do everything girly and is just quiet and sweet.
Jadyn is the best big sister and babysitter.
Beautiful Pam! I love this girl! She is an amazing mom and has taught me so much about being a mom and a wife! I'm not sure where I would be if it hadn't been for her shoulder to cry on and even sometimes her having to give it to me straight when I didn't want to hear it! Pam is one of those many special spirits that Heavenly Father put in my life at the right place and time. I am so grateful for her!!!

When do they stop cutting their own hair???

So Jesse was home from school sick today and decided to try and give himself a haircut! I was at our store so Scott said he would fix it. As you see he thought while he was fixing it he would play around a bit! Jesse is now Lex Luther! Totally bald! The funny thing is I just thought..o-well...he could have done worse...right?

SNOW!!!!

We had so much Snow today! It has been crazy this year! I don't remember the last time it snowed this much but my kids love it! We got home from stake conference and they all just stayed outside and played. The best was Jax's pants would come down as he was running and his big sister, Jadyn, would come to his rescue! Our Dog Brutis was right in the middle of all of it too! Scott built a little sled hill and they used his snowboard to slide down it and loved every minute of it! Tomorrow we told them we would buy them real snow clothes and real sleds! Stay tuned!!!

Great Spiritual day

The kids were out of school today so we decided to take them to Pres. Hinckley's viewing. It was a long line (2 1/2 hrs) to be able to see the prophet but an experience that none of us will forget. We had all the snow but the sun was shining and just beautiful outside! The kids standing in the lines had built all these little snowmen along the walls as they were waiting and some had candy in them for eyes or even hair clips or small sticks they could find. It was so cute. I'm sure Pres. Hinckley loved it! As we were leaving 2 of his daughters actually got up and talked to everyone just to say thank you for the support and said they knew if their dad were here he would definitely say "What is all this fuss about!" As we were able to see our prophet, I do not know how anyone could deny he was a prophet of god! We saw the notes from his grandkids and great grandkids that made us realize we also saw a grandpa, father, husband, that was just doing what the lord told him and had prepared him to do. He was fulfilling his purpose here on earth. Most of us will not be prophets or even hold positions where our faces are so well known but we all have purposes too...this really stuck with me as I left the conference center. I watched Sheri Dew on KBYU this morning and she talked about how he didn't like the focus being on him and always said that this was the lords church, not his. I wondered if my thoughts were what Pres. Hinckley would want us all to know. That we can all make a difference and we all have our own devine purposes....

Pocahontas

Jadyn is in the 5th grade and she chose Pocahontas as her hero this year! She had to do an oral report in the first person as if she was Pocahontas. Her grandpa made the costume and all the props, including the club which was like what had almost been used to kill John Smith, her friend from the english colonies. Last night all the 5th graders had a wax muesum at the school in their costumes. I loved it but I was trying the whole time not to laugh. We walk into the library and they have it dark with lamps around each student as they stood frozen and pretending they were wax. The best was a little girl that had dressed up as Marie Osmond(Hero???) with a long black wig and all these dolls around her and one in her lap that it looked like she was petting. It was like a horror movie! Then there were all the Martin Luther Kings and basketball players that had colored their skin with something to make it all black! Oh so funny!! Of course I had to make Jadyn laugh and she got mad at me cause I said "wow I didn't know Pocahontas had braces!" The students are all so serious! I'm such a mean mom!!!

Weekend in St. George

We were able to go to St. George this last weekend so that Scott could ordain Tyler a teacher. While we were there we got to watch his last basketball game! The kids really love their big brother and hate that he lives so far away but we are so proud of him! We also went to Fiesta fun and went swimming at the hotel. Oh and the best part is that St. George felt like summer compared to what we are use to here!
